Two spaces of identical dimensions. I inhabited the space on the right side of the image, equipped with a controller and a virtual reality headset. In the other space there was a controller on the floor, waiting for someone to pick it up.
When visitors took the controller and moved it, they also moved the controller I was holding in my hand, giving the illusion of being able to control my movements, as if I were a human puppet.

This graph displays the activity recorded during the performance. The horizontal axis represents the days. The vertical axis, the hours. Each line represents an interaction and an interaction started to count when someone picked it up the controller from the floor and stopped the moment they put it down again.
Technological devices and digital tools have a huge influence power on the development and consolidation of our behavior. That is the topic I decide to explore with my first performance. The experience shakes my worldview.

We live together in a beautiful but unbalanced world, where the fears and interests of some, design the behaviors of many.
This relationship of power applies in any social interaction; we are constantly being influenced by the thoughts and actions of the others, and vice versa, molding the persona, hence the entire social fabric. Sometimes this happens naturally, free of intention, sometimes there is a hidden agenda behind, and not always is easy to identify who controls whom.
“Behavior and perception can also be designed. This is not only design’s great power, but also its great responsibility.” Excerpt from the texts used in the exhibition.
